A wedding album must be storytelling and in order to be as such I shoot three different styles when I cover a wedding. Photojournalism, traditional and scenic portraits. The later, the scenic portraits are really my trademark and are one of the main reason why couples will hire my services for their wedding. 99% of the time couples will choose a scenic wedding portrait as their main wall  enlargement; often upgrading to a larger size. It is the type of photo that my clientele considers to be more of an art piece than a photograph, making it ideal for decorating their new home. It is difficult to appreciate the stunning pieces  when they are compressed for internet purposes and viewed on a computer monitor. A wedding album must be romantic, it must be fun, it must be about emotions, about love, about family, about friends. It must tell a story – The very purpose of hiring a professional photographer in order to compose & create a book about all these memorable celebrations & special memories.

Fun Times at the Park

Having fun while taking wedding photos is something Louise and I strongly encourage and we work with the couple in order to create such a working environment. The wedding ceremony can sometimes be a little emotional & stressful for a couple; the time spent at a park following the ceremony is a time to relax, have fun with the entire bridal party while working with your photographer. We had lots of fun this past Saturday,  I am confident they will remember these good times for many many years to come!

On behalf of the Bride & Groom, myself and Louise, I would like to thank this police officer of the Ottawa Police Service for giving a bit of his time for those fun photos we created at Major Hill’s park.

The Beauty of an Ottawa Wedding

Being a professional wedding photographer in Ottawa certainly makes my job easier! The abundance of beautiful parks to work with makes it a paradise for a photographer. I shot this wedding a couple weeks ago. Stephanie & Karl are a beautiful couple and it was a pleasure to shoot their wedding. We shot a series of images in Major Hill’s park. My only regret was not having more time to work with this couple before we had to leave for the reception hall. We had lots of fun!
