Wedding season is upon us and I am very excited to be shooting with new state-of-the-art equipment this year!
Every second year I usually invest in new professional camera gear.
Shooting a wedding at Major’s Hill Park in Ottawa is one of my favourite spot. It offers nicely manicured flower beds, trees
and Parliament Hill, the Rideau canal, Chateau Laurier are all very close proximity for shooting with architecture.

There are plenty of lighting techniques an experienced professional photographer
has at his disposal in order to create creative images.
However, when creating portraits of people there are fewer lighting techniques a
photographer has to master in order to bring the best out of people while making
them look beautiful.
Women for instance want to have their skin to look smooth & soft.
So employing a harsher type of lighting certainly wouldn’t make a photographer
many friends. A commercial type of lighting may work very well for fashion
photography or other commercial applications but not necessarily for
people photography. Personally I use lighting techniques that will flatter the
skin and put a lot of accent into the eyes while bringing dimension & depth
into the portrait. I think these techniques are paramount in order to
create portraits where clients will be very pleased with how they look!
This is the reason why so many people come to see me for their portraits –
They trust I will do my very best to make them look good!

Some of our clients who recently booked my services for their upcoming wedding were very happy to learn the photo package they chose
included a nice pre-wedding or engagement photo-shoot. Portraits in a park are not only very romantic but they’re also ideal to expose at
your reception venue entrance for your guests & family to enjoy.
It was a pleasure to work with Arnold Kimmel, a respected Ottawa businessman – owner & president of Quicky Convenience Stores.
Mr. Kimmel came to my studio a couple weeks ago and was very pleased with his series of business portraits I did for him.
